Old Homeless Woman Selling her Artworks in the Streets of Manila to Survive

The inspirational photo of an old homeless woman selling her sketches to get by blew up in the internet as soon as it was posted by Facebook user Judy Ann Samorin. According to Judy, she came across the woman while she was walking along the Gil Puyat Avenue. But what caught her eyes was that instead of the usual beggars that frequent the area this woman was selling her own artworks at P15 each.

Instead of just asking for money from strangers this woman was able to utilize her God-given talents to earn. With a whatever materials she could get, she was able to create pieces of art that promoted her creativity and imagination. More importantly she is able to do what she loves and gets to express herself through her drawings. This just shows that poverty should never be a hindrance to stop you from doing what you want and harnessing your talents. It can also bring great fulfillment to take matters into your own hands and working hard to be able to survive life rather than just relying other people to help you.
